Thank you for visiting my Web site. I'm sorry about the "pesky"
advertisements. I have one of those free Web sites and my Internet
Service Provider insists on placing these ads on my pages. He says
he must do it to make money. Feel free to go shopping if you see something that you
like, but be sure to come back. After all, I'm trying
to get a writing assignment here.
There are five reasons why you will want to use my services:
1) I have excellent communications skills; forged by 38 years in sales and
marketing, honed to a fine edge by 37 years of marriage to the same woman.
This is evidenced by the fact that neither one of us has killed the other.
2) I am able to interpret complex concepts in a way that the average individual
can understand them.
3) My careers and varied interests have provided me with a wealth of experiences
from which to draw.
4) Every client is treated with respect.
5) Every assignment is executed with care and integrity.
My talents would be best utilized writing tutorials and articles
about the following subjects.

My selling career began at the age of eight. Eight? Yes eight. I sold candied popcorn
door to door in my neighborhood. My next job was delivering newspapers. These
experiences taught me how to deal with rejection, which is an important lesson for a writer.
I also learned how to deal with different personalities.
My next job was setting pins at a local bowling alley.
That job taught me that I didn't want to set pins. That was fortunate
because automatic pin spotters made the job obsolete a short time later.
The balance of my teenage years were spent working in a convenience store and chasing
girls. For the next 25 years I supported my wife and two children by selling real estate.
During that time I sold thousands of homes and investment properties to
people of every income strata. I became proficient at explaining complex
legal documents in laymen terms. It was also necessary for me to
write hundreds, if not thousands, of concise business letters. I will provide
samples of these letters if required to do so.
Still awake, are we? That's good, keep reading.
After 25 years I became bored with real estate sales and embarked on a new
career. I found a position in the corporate world as a Real Estate Officer
in personal trust. This position allowed me to use my knowledge of real
estate while affording me the opportunity to learn about estates, trusts and
guardianships. (More contracts and different legal concepts) I also gained
valuable knowledge about the corporate world. I've had to meet deadlines,
a necessity for freelance writers as well. I also learned volumes about planning and organization
by heading special projects such as performing due diligence in preparation for corporate
acquisitions. My duties included training the employees,
writing policy and procedures manuals as well as preparing intracompany lectures for
my area of expertise. Luckily for me, the firm I work for actively promotes,
and pays for, continuing education. In this fashion I attended the Lincoln Graduate Center,
where I obtained Certification in Environmental Site Assessment. Most recently
I obtained a degree in Business Administration from Pierce College. In fact,
it is because of that experience that you are reading this document. All of my
instructors at Pierce required me to produce research papers. Upon reading the
papers, many of my professors encouraged me to pursue a career in writing.
I have copies of the papers but I doubt they would be relevant for
your purposes.
Keep going. Only one more page to read.
I served a 15-year term as chairperson for the local real estate board's Equal
Opportunity Committee. During that period, 1974 to 1989, I dealt with Government
organizations, civil rights groups and Realtors. I am well versed in issues such as
affirmative action, civil rights, diversity, and protected classes.

Background
During the same years I had several hobbies. I spent 5 years studying magic
and entertaining my family as well as others at parties and meetings. I also learned
computer programming, selling my software via direct mail advertising. I wrote
tutorials for each of the 23 programs in my inventory.
I also had to learn the techniques required for selling through the print media.
I'd like to provide you with samples of these tutorials, but alas, they
were all written for the Commodore computer and I have no way to resurrect
them. I am involved in the Corvette hobby and its organizations. I am knowledgeable about every
aspect of the hobby. I have been collecting Lionel trains and have been an avid reader about
them since I was eight years of age.
Go back. How could you?
For the past 25 years my wife and I have been involved with a church related program
for couples preparing for marriage. We act as facilitators for group discussions.
We give presentations about communications, teamwork, family financing, sexuality,
and spirituality.
The only areas of expertise that I haven't mentioned are HTML and Internet
marketing. You have probably gathered that I enjoy learning new concepts.
To that end I taught myself HTML, that is Hyper Text Markup Language for the
uninitiated. I've designed several Web sites and can do the same for you if the needs arises.
That's my story. I hope that I've convinced you that I am the person
for the assignment that you have in mind. The fact that you are reading this is a strong
indicator that I can hold a reader's attention. After all, you're still here,
aren't you? You will not find my telephone number or address on this site. Unfortunately, some people
use the Internet as weapon and not as a tool. For that reason I feel the need for a certain amount of anonymity.
My telephone number and address are readily available upon request. You can contact me at
It is my goal to exceed every client's expectations.
